Research Interest

I am conducting research as part of my master’s dissertation, titled “Strategic Barriers to the Implementation of Botswana's National Cybersecurity Strategy". The study aims to evaluate the barriers impeding the effective implementation of Botswana's National Cybersecurity Strategy, focusing on the implementers or organisations' responsible for translating policy into practice to identify where gaps exist in governance, resources, skills, coordination and legal frameworks. This study is specifically focused on the implementers/organisations in the telecommunications and banking sectors as these fall under Botswana's critical national information infrastructure and are among the sectors affected and targeted by cyber attacks and cyber-crime. The findings will benefit policymakers and organisations' by providing evidenced-based insights to improve the implementation progress of the Botswana National Cybersecurity Strategy.
