Regenerative Medicine Lab (RML)
Country/Region
- Botswana (BW)
Research activities
Regenerative medicine focuses on harnessing the body’s ability to heal and regenerate tissues. The initiative aligns with Botswana’s healthcare priorities of introducing personalized precision medicine, which tailors treatments to individual patients. This will improve patient outcomes and reduce dependency on imported medical technologies and treatments.
The cutting-edge laboratory will pioneer advancements in biomaterials research for tissue regeneration and establishing Botswana’s first human cell bank; a -critical development that will transform healthcare in the region.
